Terms of Service

BaseBox is a productivity and workflow application for music creators and teams. These terms set out how you may use the service, your responsibilities—especially when submitting data to PROs—and important limitations.

Nature of the service

BaseBox helps you organize catalog metadata, prepare documents, and manage workflows such as PRO registration. It does not replace legal, accounting, or professional advice, and it is not a PRO or collecting society.

Acceptable Use

  • Use the service lawfully and only store and process data you have the right to use for your intended purpose.
  • Keep account credentials confidential and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • Do not probe, disrupt, or circumvent security; respect other users’ workspaces and data boundaries.

Accuracy of PRO submissions and third-party filings

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of the information you submit to any PRO, CMO, or other third party via exports, email, or integrated flows from BaseBox. You should verify splits, identifiers, and declarations before filing.

Intellectual property

BaseBox does not claim ownership of songs, compositions, recordings, or other intellectual property you upload or describe in the platform. You remain responsible for securing any licenses, permissions, and rights required for your content and registrations.

Service scope and liability

The platform is provided on an “as is” basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the extent allowed, BaseBox and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use, your submissions to third parties, or reliance on generated documents. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

Contact and legal requests

For privacy rights requests, legal notices, DPAs, or security questionnaires, contact BaseBox support. Nothing in this summary replaces jurisdiction-specific rights or agreements your organization may require.
